Reading in the Wild!

Joan is hosting a new TV show about books on Auburn Community Television (ACTV) to recommend awesome books you'll want to read! You can watch on ACTV's YouTube channel.

Books are chosen from across all genres, from nonfiction and adventure memoir to mystery-thriller, from historical fiction to eco-sci-fi and much more, all with nature-centered themes.

Here is the most recent episode, where I discuss Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver and Scorched by Cam Torrens.
The next episode will out in soon. I will be sharing my thoughts about four different adventure books about hiking on long-distance trails.

About Joan Griffin
Joan lives under the spell of wanderlust. She takes wing, whenever possible, for actual destinations near and far and for literary locales in the pages of books. A third-generation Californian and proud UCLA Bruin, Joan lives in the Northern California foothills of the majestic Sierra Nevada, a world she loves exploring. Joan navigated her way through two careers—marketing computers, then sailboats—before applying her love of storytelling to her dual passions of teaching and writing.
